POWER

This is an absolute essential! In fact, it’s not a bad idea to have a few of these to charge up all your devices while abroad.

I find the one on the right to be very useful too since you can plug in more things into a single adapter and have the convenience of the extension cord as well.

And, of course… don’t forget the correct cables too!

LEARN

Here are some books that might be of interest and useful to prepare for our pilgrimage.

Learning more about the culture, history, and language will make the experience so much richer and more enjoyable.

JOURNALING

Notebook and a pen: Having a journal is a great idea for writing about your pilgrimage experiences, places visited, favorite restaurants, churches, and historical sites. The pens, of course, are needed to write these things, but also essential for filling out any documentation at the airport (even though this is done most electronically now).

These examples may not be your style, but definitely bring a some journaling supplies that are durable, easy-to-carry, and easy to find in your bag!

HEALTH

Pain-relief and immune booster: Two things I always pack in my toiletries bag are Advil and some kind of immune booster vitamin.

I like the easy-to-use vitamin tables or powder that can be mixed with water. It tastes good and put some pep in your step for the long days of sight-seeing.

Then at the end of the day (or the next morning), a little Advil helps those aches and pains go away so that I can start all over again!

COMFORT

For your face and feet: One is a little luxury and the other is as practical as it gets. After standing or walking on a sunny day, create your own mini-oasis with a little bit of cool and refreshing Evian mist. And, well… when your feet have had enough: Band-Aid blister pads!

Both items are small enough to keep in your bag. Pro tip: put the Evian in your mini fridge the night before to keep it extra cool!
